Government Announces New Subsidy Opportunities for Operators of Hydrogen Refueling Stations and Hydrogen Vehicles
Resato Hydrogen Technology is excited about the recent introduction of the Temporary Zero-Emission Mobility Subsidy Scheme by the government. This scheme provides financial support to companies investing in the establishment or upgrading of charging or fueling infrastructure, such as hydrogen fuel stations, or the purchase or retrofitting of zero-emission vehicles.
Incentive Measure for Zero-Emission Mobility
The Temporary Zero-Emission Mobility Subsidy Scheme is designed to encourage investments in zero-emission mobility. This measure contributes to the reduction of CO2 emissions and air pollutants, thereby supporting the Climate Agreement. Companies can apply for subsidies from July 15, 2024, to September 6, 2024, for projects aimed at zero-emission mobility infrastructure and the vehicles themselves.
Specific Scheme for Hydrogen Initiatives: SWIM
For companies investing in hydrogen through a collaborative effort, there is the Hydrogen in Mobility Subsidy Scheme (SWIM). This scheme focuses on collaborations that consist of at least one operator of a hydrogen fuel station and at least one company active as a transporter. The target groups of the SWIM subsidy include the transport and distribution sector (including SMEs), operators of hydrogen fuel stations, shippers (producers transporting their goods), and passenger transport (such as buses and wheelchair transport with at least five seats).
With the SWIM subsidy, the government aims to accelerate the adoption of hydrogen technology in the mobility sector. An increase in the number of hydrogen fuel stations makes the transition to hydrogen vehicles easier, while a growing number of hydrogen vehicles makes the construction of fuel stations more attractive.
