NXT Mobility's hydrogen station in Alkmaar is a milestone for sustainable mobility in North Holland. As the first hydrogen station above the North Sea Canal, it not only offers an innovative refueling solution, but also plays a crucial role in greening transport in the region. Thanks to Resato's technology, both cars (700 bar) and trucks and buses (350 bar) can refuel here quickly and safely.
The station is located at the De Boekelermeer business park and is part of Alkmaar's Energy Innovation Park, a location that promotes innovation in traditional, green and new energy. From its inception, the station has already been actively used by Stadswerk072 and GP Groot, which use hydrogen trucks for waste collection, significantly reducing local carbon emissions.
This project has been realized within the Duwaal Initiative, which develops demand and supply of hydrogen in the Northwest Netherlands simultaneously. In addition to its direct impact on mobility, the hydrogen station also strengthens cooperation between regional authorities and companies, such as GP Groot and the municipality of Alkmaar, both of which are leading the way in energy transition.
