On Thursday, 16 December 2021, Kuster Energy opened a hydrogen filling station at the Kuster Olie petrol station on the Braamtseweg in Doetinchem. According to Kuster, this is the 'largest public hydrogen filling station in Europe'.

From Thursday, hydrogen-powered vehicles can use the Kuster Oil filling station on the Wijnbergen industrial estate to the south of Doetinchem. Here, Kuster Energy has opened the first hydrogen filling station in the Achterhoek region, offering the region the opportunity to fill up with sustainable fuel. "Thanks to the fantastic efforts of the Omgevingsdienst Achterhoek, Veiligheidsregio Noord- en Oost-Gelderland, municipality of Doetinchem and province of Gelderland, the station was realised within nine months", explains commercial director Jan Pieter de Wilde of Kuster Energy. At the station, built by Resato International BV, vehicles can fill up with hydrogen at 350 and 700 bars. Wide choice
Now that hydrogen can be refilled at the Kuster Olie filling station on the Braamtseweg in Doetinchem, the filling station offers a very wide choice of all possible energy sources. The filling station offers Euro 95, SuperPlus 98, diesel, CNG natural gas and Blue Diesel. In addition, the location has a TipTop Car & Truck cleaning and two fast chargers. At the end of November, the company announced that, together with Agem and AmperaPark, it is going to work on realising solar charging stations in the Achterhoek region.
