Lead Software Engineer
As Lead Software Engineer, you are responsible for leading a team of software developers and managing the technical aspects of software projects for our hydrogen refuelling stations. You play a crucial role in the design, development and maintenance of high-quality software solutions. You will also be involved in drafting technical strategies and implementing best practices within the development team.
Your responsibilities
- Lead and motivate a team of software developers specialising in PLC programming for hydrogen refuelling station
- Design, develop and implement PLC software solutions for control, monitoring and security of hydrogen refuelling infrastructure
- Identify technical requirements and prepare detailed technical specifications for PLC systems
- Review PLC code and technical documentation to ensure quality and compliance with industry standards
- Actively participate in the design and architecture process to build robust and safe PLC systems that meet the specific requirements of hydrogen refuelling stations
- Research and evaluate new technologies and methodologies for PLC programming to improve system efficiency and reliability
- Collaborate with other teams, such as mechanical and electrical engineering, to develop integrated solutions for hydrogen refuelling stations
- Act as a technical point of contact for internal and external stakeholders and provide technical guidance and support related to PLC systems
Requirements
- A completed HBO education in the direction of e.g. Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechatronics
- You have extensive work experience as a PLC Software Engineer, Control System Engineer, Automation Engineer or similar
- Demonstrable experience in software development, preferably with a focus on PLC programming and industrial automationIn-depth knowledge of PLC programming languages and platforms, such as Siemens PLCs
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Leadership qualities and ability to inspire and guide a team to success
- Knowledge of safety standards and guidelines for industrial automation, with specific focus on hydrogen safety, is a plus
